Calgary, AB (August 13, 2015) – Kudos is pleased to announce that we have been selected as one the recipients of the Alberta/Jalisco Innovation and Commercialisation Grant. The Alberta/Jalisco Innovation and Commercialization Program is intended to provide opportunities for Alberta, Canada and Jalisco, Mexico to collaborate in research and technology development leading to future educational, labour and commercialization opportunities that will enhance relations and trade between and provide mutual benefit to both regions.
Kudos was one of four projects selected from eleven project proposals jointly submitted by Albertan and Jaliscan companies in response to a call for proposals. Proposals were reviewed by independent subject area experts and business experts.
“This is a very exciting opportunity and prestigious award for Kudos” expressed Tom Short, President and Founder of Kudos, “our cloud based mobile peer-to-peer recognition solution is already changing the way companies all around the world are approaching employee recognition and this project will allow us to further enhance our solution to improve the reach and impact of recognition in the workplace.”
The grant is based on a collaboration with Solutia Intelligence SA de CV (SI) in Guadalajara, Mexico. SI is an ideal partner for Kudos based on their wireless technology expertise, large Latin American client base and their vision of establishing a Latin American Center for Excellence for Employee Engagement with the support of Jalisco State Council for Science and Technology – COECYTAL.
The employee-employer relationship has changed, compelling business leaders to build organizations that engage employees like customers. According to Deloitte’s 2015 Global Human Capital Trends survey, Employee Engagement and culture issues have exploded onto the Human Capital Management (HCM) scene, rising to become the number one challenge companies face around the world. The demand for these solutions is global.
Since the original memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in January 19, 2009, between the Government of the State of Jalisco, Mexico and the Government of Alberta, four phases of the Alberta-Jalisco program have been offered to participants from both regions.
The Alberta-Jalisco program is designed to provide opportunities for Alberta, Canada and Jalisco, Mexico to collaborate in research and technology development leading to future educational, labor and commercialization opportunities that will enhance relations and trade between and provide mutual benefit to both regions.
